From 27th July to 29th July 2018 I was delighted to be invited to the Made in Bristol Shops collaboration with House of Fraser, Cabot Circus, Bristol to become part of the Handmade High Street. For one weekend four Bristol based designer makers, including me, sold our work at House of Fraser in a pop up shop run by Made in Bristol Shops.
Made in Bristol Shops you may remember from their former home in Quakers Friar, Cabot Circus and famous Colston Hall Gift Market at Christmas time. I was thrilled to be invited to collaborate on the Handmade High Street concept, a cause I am passionate about to help to promote small local creative businesses.
I sold a capsule collection of my 'bestsellers' pieces of jewellery, pretty charms galore and my favourite marble gemstone howlite jewellery too. I was in good company, having fellow designers Ceridwen Designs, Dakota Rae Dust and Girl & Bird together in the pop up shop. Even though our styles are unique the shop looked beautiful, we took our time to carefully curate everything together on Thursday evening to make sure it looked as gorgeous as it could be.
Many thanks to those of you who came to browse and shop with us this weekend. The Handmade High Street was a success, it's so lovely that the shoppers of Bristol support buying local and unique products. I loved meeting so many of you who popped in to say hello and shop, familiar faces and new ones too. And a massive thanks to House of Fraser too for supporting us too.
Look out for more Handmade High Street pop ups this Autumn 2018. We loved it so much that we are in planning to do it all over again very soon.
