Pouss Jewellery is run solely by myself, Amanda. I won’t ever use, sell or buy anyone’s your personal data (or anyone else’s), just sell you gorgeous jewellery you will treasure and enjoy. Information about how I use your personal data when you order from me is detailed below:
Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Squarespace to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact me directly.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies like Royal Mail or Hermes Couriers. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.
When someone visits my Etsy shop or website I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to my shop and website and how you have found me. This information is only processed in a way which doesn’t identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my shop or website.
My website (pouss.co.uk) and Etsy shop places cookies, which are small data files, on your computer or handheld device. This is standard practice for all websites.
Cookies are essential for helping to deliver a high quality website and online shopping experience for my customers, and some collect information about browsing and buying behaviour.
By using and browsing my etsy store and website, you consent to cookies being used in accordance with my policy. If you do not consent, you must disable cookies or refrain from using the site.
As part of the registration process for any e-newsletters, I collect personal information. I use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked me to tell you about; to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; to check my records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. I don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver newsletters (but very rarely send them, if any). I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my e-newsletter content. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails or by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
How to Contact Me
For purposes of EU data protection law, I, Amanda Taylor, am the data controller of your personal information. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me at email@example.com.
